Named “Best Classical Conductor” by the Nashville Scene, Kelly Corcoran is a passionate advocate for the robust place of classical music in our lives and the lives of future generations. Corcoran is Artistic Director of Intersection, a contemporary music ensemble dedicated to reimagining the concert experience with concerts for all ages. Corcoran conducted the Nashville Symphony for nine seasons, and is a frequent guest conductor with orchestras all around the world having worked with The Cleveland Orchestra, the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Symphony and more.
Perspectives From the Podium uses the leadership models and lessons of an orchestra to inspire leaders and create positive, creative work environments. Various workshops are available for adults, middle and high school students exploring a range of topics from effective communication to individual expression within a shared vision.
Conducting Wellness and Conducting Fun offer resources on how the arts intersect with wellness and public health and the ways in which we can bring lightness and fun into our everyday lives. As a leader in orchestral programming for young people and a graduate of the School of Public Health at the University of Alabama Birmingham, Kelly loves the UAB School of Public Health mantra to "Be Somebody! Make a Difference!". Conducting Wellness and Conducting Fun seek to offer solutions to problems within our communities through the arts and fun!
